Brief: to design and build a promotional website for Māori electronica duo, Minaaka. Some of the site was in te reo, the rest was in English.

My responsibilities included:

  • Development of navigation and architecture concept utilising popup windows and animated rollovers
  • Design of site (look & feel, graphics, rollovers, photo-animations)
  • Building site (architecture, look & feel, pop-ups, HTML, JavaScript, online sales page)
  • Inclusion of mpg video and mp3 audio files on the site
  • Liaison with clients during development process.

A lovely little site - with most time taken by the creation of animated photographs and the popup album section. The design was adapted from the Native design used for the CD cover, and the website acted as a promotional and sales tool for that CD and for Minaaka themselves.

After I completed my contract with Base Two, Minaaka asked that I continue to update and develop the site, which Base Two were happy to let me do.
