For most of my web career I've been a contractor and freelancer, but I've also had two long-term full-time jobs since I first became a web designer in 1996. Both of those jobs came about as a result of contract work I did with those companies, both of whom then offered me a permanent position.

To Whom it May Concern

Alison Green - Web Developer

If you are looking for a talented web developer to code in both HTML and Flash with an eye for detail then I highly recommend Alison Green.

She worked for Origin Design for approximately two years and during this time she produced a wide variety of web sites and Flash interactives. She developed a great talent for interpreting some very rough creative outlines and turning them into finished sites. Her common sense approach added huge value and a user perspective to her web projects. She is also great at proofreading her work ensuring that spelling grammatical errors are eliminated.

A well loved team member, Alison not only works really well as part of a project team, but is also happy to be set a task and follow it through on her own - great when you are under pressure and just want things to happen!

On a personal note I will miss Alison's good humour... often in the face of workload and time pressure.

She will very much missed by all at Origin, and I have no hesitation in recommending her.

Yours sincerely

From time to time I've been asked to give presentations about my job and what I do. Here's the feedback from one of them.

St Catherine's College

Dear Ms Green

On behalf of the staff and students of St Catherine's College I would like to thank you for your participation in the Careers presentations that have been organised this term in conjunction with the YWCA. Your generous donation of time and energy was greatly appreciated given your current work commitments.

You have contributed to the girls' career education in a number of significant ways. Firstly, I believe they have benefited from having their knowledge of career options broadened to include careers that they would not normally have considered or even been aware of. In addition, you have provided them with the unique opportunity to learn from your personal perceptions and experiences which they would have difficult accessing from printed careers material.

Finally, I am hopeful that your enthusiasm and obvious enjoyment of what you do may influence the girls to adopt a positive attitude towards work, or at least know that work can be enjoyable!

Thank you again for being such a positive role model.

Your sincerely

Mrs Lorraine McArthur
