My professional status: contractor at CWA New Media

Client: CWA New Media (for Actrix Networks and Infotech Weekly)

Dates: October 1996 (Infotech Weekly Schools Week)

Brief: to develop, organise and run a week-long series of workshops on an introduction to the WWW for schools, and to design a website - EdPatch - laid out like a patchwork quilt - to accompany these workshops.

My responsibilities included:

Concept development
Workshop development, organisation and implementation - at levels appropriate for children aged 8+, 11+ and 15+
Design and preparation of lesson plans and worksheets
Development of website into which classes put their completed work
Site design (look & feel, architecture, navigation, graphics, HTML)
Client/sponsor liaison.

Lots of work, lots of fun. It was great to get back into the classroom again.
